Saying Good-bye to one of my dearest friends as she's off to college!
Shayla left for college at BYU in Utah yesterday and I went to her house and part of her church to be with her for one last hour or so and take our last picture together before college. It was so wonderful to be with her! Though I'll miss her a lot, she's going to be so happy at BYU and we'll skype! Bye Shayla! I love you and "Oh! the places you'll go!" -Dr. Seuss. :)
Camping with the FAM!
Last weekend, I went camping with my family. It was SO fun and we built many strong memories. I liked it and I will miss my family a lot. We always have so much fun when we camp and it will be a tradition that I will look forward to returning too after my experience away from home. It's definitely something to miss. Next summer, hopefully we'll go to a really cool camp ground in the Redwoods near the coast that we've had our eye on for years, but this year we had a good time at Union Creek for an over-night-er of laughs, graham cracker-less s'mores, "t.v.dinners" (in this case, "campfire dinners") of meat and veggies with considerable amounts of steak seasoning and my whole family sleeping one single tent! :) It was SO fun! (Did I already mention that!?) :)
Working at the Dental Office!!
Here's some pictures of me working at a Dental Office and it's great. I learn new things everyday from my wonderful teachers and have a great time. I work most closely with a girl named Sara and she took these pictures so you guys could see what I do. I love it and I'm so excited to go to college and continue my exploration of careers as I keep the possibilities of dental office work in mind! ;)

..."Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree..."
Tonight we sung Popcorn during our Family Night. It was delightful. I really enjoyed being with my family and it was a special treat to be home for Family Night because I was originally scheduled to work at Romy until closing which keeps me up past my bedtime -usually later than 10:00pm. I'm really excited to blog right now and I just added a link to my Heidi's Happenings Blog to Mormon.org and I've been thinking about it a lot. We had a fireside last night with the missionaries, who showed us how cool this site really is and how we can simply use it in our lives to do missionary work. I went to work today (at the dental office) with a girl there in mind that I would share the sight with because that's who I felt like I could reasonably share it with this week and she's a Mormon, she just hasn't been active for years. The challenge was to share the website with someone in mind that you thought should hear it and I thought it was her. Dr. Bryan, the dentist I work for who's also in our ward was asking me if I went to the fireside last night when I was sitting in the dental assistant's chair this morning and it came right up. I told Sara about it too; she was standing right next to me when he asked, so I talked about it in front of her too. She thought it sounded cool and said she would share it with the other assistant that works there named Lisa because she sometimes has questions. I thought it was SO cool and I felt the power of the intention that I set yesterday when the missionaries challenged us to be better missionaries in that moment this morning. It was really cool. I know it's true that Heavenly Father wants us to do missionary work and I know I can! ...On another quick note, I titled this post '"...Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree..."' because that's a song we sung in Primary, it was always a delight, and my family needed some lighthearted entertainment tonight. It really helped and I really enjoyed it. I have a testimony that families are central unit to the creator's plan of happiness. I know that they can be together forever, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

My New College Items
This is what I got this week. It was SO fun. Mom and I went shopping for college needs at Target and Fred Meyer because that's where I heard they have the extra long twin sheets for college dorms -plus I have gift cards to Target. I am so thankful for those contributions and it really helped me when I went to go purchase these things! :) The shopping was fun and Mom and I were able to find some things that Shayla and I had already scoped out earlier this week when we went looking for college supplies together. We found a hole punch, pens, mechanical pencils, a water bottle, a mesh laundry bag and five subject notebook. One of my favorite, most exciting purchases that I will use a bunch is my sheets. We got those at Fred Meyer on sale! :) It was so fun and I am very exciting to use these things. Thank You to all those who contributed.

Welcome!
Welcome all you new viewers. I am so excited to tell you about what is happening in my life. For the past few months, I've just been adding in little posts here and there that give a little insight to what I've been up to and how I've been getting ready for college in order to get the the feel of blogging. This should be much more consistent now that I'm committed and I'll try and let you know about how I'm doing and what I'm doing every week or so! I'm so excited and I hope you enjoy it! It's been really fun to get to know blogging and I can't wait to share it with all of you wonderful people! :)

Heidi's New Equipment
My new equipment comes from the land of Crate & Barrel. I just went to Portland for musical but my mom wanted to stop by this store for a bit. I'd never been in it until then, but I enjoyed it. We found all sorts of cool stuff and I had a little bit of extra spending money that I was going to set aside for college stuff anyway, so when I got looking around and found these awesome pieces of kitchenware for reasonable prices I jumped on it! WHoo-hoo. I have me some new kitchenware for my college dorm! :)
