A Valentines Day Treat Kitty Sneak!

This is the culprit:

This Valentine's Day, my mom made delicious sugar cookies, which is one of my favorite Valentine's Day traditions!

Here are the cookies/cupcakes that she made and frosted (with my dad-how romantic!) and shared with my family:

Today as I was having a left over sugar cookie at the counter with some milk.  I wanted to savor the moment and then thought of something and stepped away for less than two minutes.  This was a mistake.  As I approached my cookie and milk again, I witnessed a quick "oh she's back!" jump from the chair I was sitting in to the floor.  haha.  I looked down to behold our funny kitty licking her lips...she must have needed some Valentine's sugar/love also!  I guessed it was proably the cookie but I'm not sure it wasn't the milk too! :)

She knew she was in trouble because she gave me that look.  Like the one she knows she just did something I didn't approve of but she'll just keep going.  haha She's so funny!  I'm kind of amused by her! :)

New Calling

At church, I just got called to be the Gospel Doctrine teacher.  This means that I am one of the teachers in a rotation to teach a Sunday School class held on Sundays.  I am ... no, feel very mixed emotions. I feel barely prepared enough to accept this calling but thankfully that's enough.  I'm also excited because I want to go serve a mission and at the least learn more about the gospel.  This will give me a good opportunity to do so.

Honestly, life has been up and down, with lots of emotions, feelings, contemplation, and eventually an increasing amount of hope.  It feels crazy but I'm getting through! :)

This lesson on leadership and delegation that I read about in Exodus for my Old Testament class really helped.  I love it; here's the link to my blog post that I wrote about it.

As I accept my new calling and keep this in mind, I feel confident that the Lord will bless me!  Hope you are all feeling well and enjoying life!  Here's a good video about enduring! :)  -Heidi

Milk Shake

Simple story:
haha.  I don't have a lot to write but a simple story!
Today, I made a milkshake for a seven year old.  Afterward, I wanted to make sure he approved before I just let him have the whole thing.  I wasn't sure it was good. :)
Very confidently, he said something like:
I don't need to try it.  I've had a milkshake before!
...hahaha I was so happy that he didn't think he needed to try it and it just made me laugh that he was so confident!  I love how children can be so honest and happy!  They are a great example!  :)  Toodles, Heidi
