Krystal and Heidi to the Spa...good week!

Tonight was a hot tub night!  Most of our room mates were off on dates and we were tired, ready for a break, but not ready for bed! :)  So, we took a trip down to the spa and took a nice, relaxing break in the warm water! (After we scurried through the snow in our flip flops and crocs!=COLD! -it kind of burned to get into the hot water after that:) The weekends are good because then we get to decompress.  Normally the curfew here is 12:00 midnight, but on Fridays, it's extended to 1:00, so we can stay up later and have fun!  Work hard!  Play hard!  I had a really good week.  My room mates and I are getting along, we make meals together, eat together, go to the temple together and ...do homework together!  I've stayed up later than I prefer some nights to do homework and I'm really tired, but I'm making it through.  Like Walt Disney says, I "keep moving forward!" :)  By the way, we had a special visitor at our University for the weekly devotional they hold every Tuesday.  Elder L. Tom Perry, a general authority of the church, who has a special calling and assignments to share the gospel of Jesus Christ came to speak to us.  I felt VERY uplifted and it was a great day!! (It was also the day I went to the temple with some of my room mates and friends and it was a good way to start the day!)  The message was great and overall, I just felt good inside! This is a great university and I'm very glad to be here! :)

IDAHO Krystal and Heidi

Way back on April 10th, 2011 I posted a picture of Krystal and I in Oregon and we called it the 'Oregon Krystal and Heidi.'  It was rainy, so we thought it would be a good time!! ;)  Now, we're in Idaho, and it snows here, so we took a picture!! We'll call it the 'Idaho Krystal and Heidi!' :)

Pancake Time! :)

Saturday Morning, there was a great experiment with the pancake I was making.  I tried to flip it... and...this was the result:

 

 ...and just because it's better with the chair, here's another one! :)

The chair is on the floor because my room mate was laughing SO hard, she fell on the chair and it fell ...to the floor which brought the incident to the attention of my other room mate because of the crash!  :)  Good memories.  AND I practiced a bit so now I'm better.  Don't worry.  I guess I just had to break the ice first! :)

Making an Orange Julius

We attempted an Orange Julius with the Magic Bullet and it didn't work ...at first! :) 

 Anyway, we made this Orange Julius that was leaking through the machine, so we took it apart and reassembled it with a new seal.  Meanwhile, the contents were waiting for us to smash 'em up into the delicious treat!  :)  It's become a new favorite snack. 

Trip to Kiwiloco

 

 This week, we found out about a 'dealio' at a neighboring frozen yogurt place (very similar to Yogurt Hut) for some deliciousness.  Our room mate, Kellie lived here last semester and wanted to share the tastiness with us, so we walked the little bit over to the Kiwi Loco.  Krystal and I split a cup, then forgot to ask for the dealio but we still enjoyed it! :)

This semester: I have 5 room mates.  Krystal, Jessica (from downstairs last semester), Janika (from next door last semester), and two girls that I did not previously know, Laura & Kellie.  We have a kitchen, bathroom (extra big), and 3 bedrooms with 2 girls each!  It's fun!  We've blended pretty well so far and we had a family dinner together! :) It was Shepard's Pie and salad! Thurrp! :)
